How to set Pricing as a SEO Reseller - A quick step guide.

I was looking to resell seo services for 3 months and finally decided on a SEO Reseller Provider (Endless Rise Inc, if you care to know) who allows me to set my own pricing. However, their SEO Reseller Program seems to offer me too much freedom because I did not know where to set my prices or where to begin. In short, I did my research and figured it out and now I am writing an article on it to educate others. Below is a short guide and commentary on how I went about setting my pricing and factors to take into consideration while doing so.

The first thing I did was to ask a consultant at Endless Rise Inc. because I know they have other resellers and see the pricing in the industry... so it only made sense to me to pick their brain on the matter. I expected them to just say 200% or 500% or something like that, but they gave me an entire procedure to follow while trying to figure out how to price MY end of the SEO Reseller Program. I've done my best to recall and re-iterate the procedure I followed below.

1. Establish the scope of Clientele you plan to Resell SEO Services to.

I learned that there are high end SEO Clients who have a very large budget and then the majority of SEO Clients who seem to have a monthly budget between $400/month to $1000/ month. Since I have never sold SEO services before I will primarily be dealing with client's who have a lower budget and therefore need to set my expectations on where to price out my services. (I would like to note that I decided to NOT publish my pricing on my website for many reasons... so my pricing is set internally for my two people in sales.)


2. Pricing Set Cost SEO Packages

My SEO Reseller Program offers me set cost SEO packages for as low as $250/month for a moderately competitive 10 keyword package. I called around to local SEO Retailers and asked for a quote on 10 non-competitive keywords and to my surprise the average quote I got back was $850.00/month and the highest quote I received was $1500.00 per month. In this situation I decided to price my 10 keyword package at $600.00/month because I will come in under my local competition and also remain within the budget of the majority of my target market. To summarize, if you are trying to establish your price on set cost SEO Packages then you want to establish the typical budget of your target market, check the prices of your retail competition, and then set your pricing accordingly. Setting your price for set cost SEO Packages, if you decide to resell SEO services, is not hard if you do your research and understand your target market.

. Custom SEO Reseller Campaigns - Where to Price to Resell SEO Services

I found it easier to establish my pricing for set cost SEO Packages as opposed to custom SEO Campaigns. To note, if I need a Custom Proposal for a large or unique SEO Campaign I ask my SEO Reseller Provider for this (I get free proposals included in my SEO Reseller Program... so don't pay for them) and they will return to me a custom proposal with their price to me and full research for the client. When I am initially gathering information from the client I establish the client's budget and then decide what cost ceiling I will allow Endless Rise Inc. to write my custom proposal at. So for instance if my client tells me they have a budget of $2500.00/month for a custom SEO campaign I would send Endless Rise the necessary information to write the proposal and let them know my cost on the campaign is not to exceed $1500.00 per month because I want to make $1000.00 per month off of this particular campaign. To resell SEO services for custom SEO work I establish my client's budget and then I decide how much I wish to make off the top and limit the budget I will allow my provider to work with before they even write the proposal. I have found this to be an easy and successful solution.
